Welcome to the My Forever Family NSW volunteer program

Volunteering is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have. If you are a committed and passionate individual who would like to help build a strong and resilient carer community, then volunteering with My Forever Family NSW may be the opportunity you are looking for.

We are currently looking for volunteers who fit one or both of the following criteria:
  • you are an experienced current or former foster carer, kinship or relative carer, guardian or adoptive parent
  • you are a current or former professional in the field of community health or have child and family service related experience. This may include, a health worker or caseworker, or board, staff member or volunteer in a local community organisation.

Our volunteers are involved in many aspects of our work including, disseminating knowledge of services and opportunities provided by My Forever Family NSW, mentoring newly authorised carers, coordinating local carer support groups and identifying training needs for local carers. You may be asked to contribute to Carer Reference Groups, attend meetings, forums, recruitment events and other special events.

Join a group of like-minded carers and individuals committed to children and young people in out-of-home care and those that care for them.
