Cultural Connections Training for Carers in Northern NSW and the Mid North Coast Regions.
Join My Forever Family and our Training Partners, Curijo as they take you on a journey to understand Aboriginal histories and cultures to support culturally safe approaches to caring.
Curijo’s Cultural Connections Training aim is supporting culturally safety of Aboriginal children and young people. The Cultural Connections training provides carers with an understanding of Aboriginal histories and cultures to support culturally safe approaches to caring. It provides an understanding of connection and the role of family and community in safety and Aboriginal Cultural Support Planning. The training will provide carers with an introductory awareness to assist to build and broaden relationships and increase understanding strategies of how to provide a culturally safe home environment.
This training will be run over 3 consecutive Tuesdays in August for 2 hours each session. You must be able to participate in all 3 sessions to successfully complete this training and receive a certificate. Dates for the training are:
- Tuesday 4th August - 12.30pm to 2.30pm
- Tuesday 11th August - 12.30pm to 2.30pm
- Tuesday 18th August - 12.30pm to 2.30pm

Note - this training is open to carers first, and if space is possible to Agency Staff.
