Cultural Connections Training - Face to Face in Campbelltown
PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE IS NO CHILDCARE AVAILABLE FOR THIS COURSE
This workshop will be facilitated by the wonderful people at ABSEC who will equip you with the skills and knowledge to support the implementation of Cultural Care Plans and Cultural Support Plans for the Aboriginal children in your care.
Culture is central to the long-term safety and wellbeing of Aboriginal children and young people. Every Aboriginal child has the right to maintain their cultural identity. Preserving contact with family, kin, community and Country has been shown to help Aboriginal children through psychological and emotional development.
It is a requirement in NSW that all Aboriginal children and young people in out-of-home care must have a Cultural Care Plan and a Cultural Support Plan. The goal of this workshop is to assist you as the carer to support the implementation of these plans, resulting in stronger, healthier and happier children and young people.
