Permanency Community Resources

Department of Communities and Justice has developed a set of plain English information sheets for children, young people and families that explain what permanency is and why it is important.

These information sheets also clarify the different pathways by which children and young people can have a permanent home: family preservation, restoration, guardianship, adoption or long-term care.

The resources are simple and clear, making it easy for people of all ages and backgrounds to understand.

We have arranged translations of all these resources into six languages – Tongan, Samoan, Arabic, Spanish, Chinese and Dinka.
